Mikie Holiday Resort & Hotel is situated in North Sumatra some 60 km from downtown Medan. It is located near the Lau Debuk Debuk Hot Springs. The resort boasts of a 130-room five star hotel with heated swimming pool, 600-seat convention hall, a poolbar, karaoke rooms, BBQ facilities, restaurants serving Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian and European cuisine and the 1,200-seat Star Theater.

Normally it would take about 90 minutes to drive up the mountain road to Berstagi. However, together with Energy, we arrived at the Resort in less than 30 minutes as we were taken up there in a helicopter. (See video)

January 2005 was less than a month after the Tsunami had hit Aceh, and many refugees from the north took refuge in Medan. So Energy visit one of the refugee centres and distributed food and drinks to the folks made homeless by the disaster.

Next to the Hotel was an amusement park where you can try out all the games and rides in Funland. Some of the attractions include Sky Bike, Bumper Boat, Gladiator Arena, and Go Kart Racing. For the romantic at heart, you can always enjoy the beautiful Mikie's Park as well as the Pondok Gazebo.

After the successful concert, we spent a whole afternoon having fun in the Amusement Park. We even visited Lake Toba and the Berstagi local vegetable market.
